Shantel Valle of Step Up for Honduras interviews Nancy, the Director of Centro Las Flores Women and Girl’s Shelter in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. (VIDEO)

This short two-minute video is an inside perspective of a women and girls’ shelter, that’s doing some wonderful work in Honduras. We were allowed inside the gates for an interview with Nancy, the current Director, and we met the twelve inspiring young women who call this shelter home. They range from 9-17 years old and have suffered from sexual violence and other psychological issues. Eight members of the step up team had the privilege of bringing donations of clothes, toys, games, toiletries and various daily necessities.

Due to the lack of support the shelter has solely relied on donations, volunteers, church groups or any group willing to help.

Centro Las Flores is in need of volunteers and financial support so if you’re inspired by this video, please make a donation or spread the word to any companies or individuals you know that can help. Along with your support, our vision is to build a strong foundation and educational structure for these girls, so they can become wonderful women and go into society with all the tools they need to survive and become empowered women.

Thank you for reading, please share with your friends and family members. And remember: Every dollar given is a tax deduction with a receipt provided! Please help us raise money to support Centro Las Flores Women and Girls’ Shelter in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Many Blessings, Ernie Valle.
